Be The Game

I’m proud to announce that I’ve been asked to be the first Northern Canadian Community Leader for Be The Game Sportswear!

Be The Game™ Sportswear Inc. is a national, community driven organization whose mission is to encourage children and individuals to give back and make a difference within their community and beyond through the sale of cool, cutting edge merchandise. The belief that life is always richer when you give back is a personal philosophy that BTG founder, Joe Drexler, has made and this, in turn, is the driving force behind the company’s culture.

Be The Game’s mission is to be the leading provider of sports related apparel and products. In recognition of our commitment to giving back, 10% of all sales will be donated to the BTG Sports Fund to support children in minor sports and charities.

We at Be The Game believe that every child who wants to play sports should be able to play sports.  From an early age, participating in sports provide children with valuable life lessons.  Children develop leadership skills, sportsmanship, passion, goal setting ~ and most importantly… healthy lifestyle choices.

While playing sports and being involved, children learn to chase their dreams and strive to reach their goals. They learn to “win with pride and lose with dignity” and grow from these lessons. They make life-long friendships but most importantly it’s about family, time well spent and everyone having fun!

The unfortunate reality is that 1 in 3 Canadian families are unable to provide their children with this life changing opportunity. The financial strain on a family of 4, for example, can be very challenging.  To this day I still have no idea how my parents were able to keep my brother and I in so many sports without us knowing the financial strain that it must have put on them.  I continue to thank them with all that I have for being able to get involved in sports and keep us there because without sports and without them, I know that I would not be the man I am today.

What I’m asking of you now is to go online and check out the Be The Game Sportswear Store and start shopping.  Every 10% of sales goes directly towards helping a child get in to sports who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to play.  All orders placed through me get Atlantic Canadian Children specifically in to sports.

You can email me your orders btg@yourinnerskinny.ca or if you’re placing your order online through the BTG website, add my name “Scott” in the message area of your order to insure that Eastern Canadian children have a chance to benefit directly.

Please get involved in this amazing cause with this amazing company!
